Our March meeting featured Marietta Johnson showing her Quick Quilts. Marietta is retired from the Army and an avid quilter. In fact, she is a member of five Mississippi guilds and two Louisiana guilds. She is the Project Linus coordinator for South Mississippi. She said that in order to get many quilts made to share with children, she concentrates on patterns which work up quickly. Marietta will lead a workshop to make one of her quick quilts at the next Workshop (4th Wednesday).
Dianne McLendon taught a two-part Bargello Bag workshop, and her students proudly showed their completed projects. Dianne also heads up our Friendship Blocks and Round Robin Challenge. Forty-four friendship blocks in this basket pattern were turned in; Dianne divided them into groups of eight blocks and drew five names to win the blocks.

Donations: We received 17 walker totes and 6 catheter bag covers, 38 pillows and several small cloths with crochet edges.
Snippets: Ellen Cox said a small bicycle pump could be used to blow dust out of hard-to-reach places on your machine or computer keyboard. Be careful not to force lint and dust into the machine.
