Trunk Show in Brookhaven

Seven members of our guild drove to Brookhaven this week (May 12) to present a trunk show of our work. The Brookhaven Piecemakers brought their quilts to show to PBQ last fall, and we were returning the favor. Making the trip were Ellen Hall, Connie Hitt, Vivian Plummer, Linda Flanders, Martha Ginn, Betty Allen, and Susie Jackson (pictured left to right).

Each of us showed several quilts and told their story or described some technique. In addition to our quilts, we also brought ones made by Ollie Jean Lane, Jean Robertson, Ann Shows, Frances Good, Joe Bingham, and Betty Bingham. We divided the quilts into categories of Pieced, Applique, Mixed, Whole Cloth/Stitchery, and Art/Original Designs, and showed a total of 50 pieces. They welcomed us with a huge table of delicious food, and we enjoyed showing our quilts. Most of these quilts were ribbon winners; sorry I don’t have details.
