Due to the Pandemic, our last scheduled meeting took place in March, 2020. We quarantined and sheltered in place the remainder of 2020. We began Zoom meetings in December 2020 and will continue in this format until we can meet in person. The 2020 quilt show has been postponed to October of 2022.

We meet at 9:30 a.m. at University Baptist Church, 3200 Arlington Loop, in Hattiesburg.

Guild Meetings:  (2nd Wednesdays in Kelley Fellowship Hall–see Calendar for specifics):
These monthly meetings provide an informative program to help us improve our skills. Show and Tell allows us to get and give encouragement. Three monthly smaller group meetings are held unless otherwise announced.

Children’s Quilts Group (1st Tuesdays in Choral Hall–see Calendar)
We have a large closet containing tables, fabric, batting, and supplies. We bring our sewing machines and work together, making quilts to donate. This is also a teaching/learning activity where new quilters can work with more experienced quilters to get hands-on experience in all phases of quiltmaking.
Leader: Mary Nell Magee

Boutique Group (TBA in Choral Hall–see Calendar)
We use our quilting and sewing skills to create boutique items that are sold at our biennial quilt shows. Many people look forward to purchasing unique Christmas gifts from our boutique. The money generated here helps to fund charitable organizations, libraries, and community education.
Facilitator: Shirley Wiltshire

Workshop Group (TBA in Choral Hall–see Calendar)
Workshops usually are based on the educational feature from the previous Guild Meeting.
